主要用于生產(chǎn)醇酸樹脂、濕潤劑、洗滌劑、殺蟲劑、表面活性劑、食品添加劑和化妝品的原料。本品常作為潤滑劑使用，具有潤滑劑和硫化劑等多種功能。但由于對金屬有腐蝕作用，故一般不用于電線、電纜等塑料制品。本品應(yīng)用于表面活性劑工業(yè)最為廣泛，還可用于香料工業(yè)、制藥工業(yè)。
用作配制粘接用的表面處理劑。還用于制造醇酸樹脂、化學(xué)纖維油劑、殺蟲劑、合成香料、塑料穩(wěn)定劑、汽油及潤滑油的抗腐蝕添加劑。大量用于制造各種類型的表面活性劑，如陽離子型有月桂胺、月桂腈、三月桂胺、月桂基二甲基胺、月桂基三甲基銨鹽等；陰離子型有月桂基硫酸鈉、月桂酸硫酸酯鹽、月桂基硫酸三乙醇銨鹽等；兩性離子型有月桂基甜菜堿、月桂酸咪唑啉等；非離子型表面活性劑有聚L-醇單月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯月桂酸酯、月桂酸甘油酯聚氧乙烯醚、月桂酸二乙醇酰胺等。此外也用作食品添加劑及用于制造化妝品等。
月桂酸是生產(chǎn)香皂、洗滌劑、化妝品表面活性劑和化學(xué)纖維油劑的原料。

The main purpose

Mainly used in the production of alkyd resin, wetting agent, detergent, pesticides, surfactants, food additives and cosmetics raw materials. Often used as a lubricant, this product has a variety of functions such as lubricant and vulcanizing agent. But because of corroding effect to metal, do not use at wire, cable and so on plastic product commonly. This product is most widely used in surfactant industry and can also be used in spice industry and pharmaceutical industry.

Used as surface treatment agent for making adhesive. Also used in the manufacture of alkyd resin, chemical fiber oil, pesticides, synthetic spices, plastic stabilizers, gasoline and lubricants anti-corrosion additives. A large number of various types of surfactants, such as cationic type have laurylamine, laurylonitrile, trilaurylamine, lauryl dimethylamine, lauryl trimethylamine, etc. Anionic types include sodium lauryl sulfate, sulfate lauryl sulfate, and lauryl sulfate triethanol ammonium salt. The amphoteric ionotypes include lauryl betaine and imidazoline laurate. Non-ionic surfactants include polyl-alcohol monocrovia ester, polyoxyethylene lauric ester, lauryl ester polyoxyethylene ether, lauryl diglycolamide, etc. It is also used as food additives and cosmetics.

Lauric acid is the raw material of soap, detergent, cosmetic surfactant and chemical fiber oil.
