Mechanism of garlic peptide
Garlic peptide is a typical cationic amphiphilic characteristic peptide with a-helix structure. Its positive charge area interacts with the negative charge area on the cell membrane, changes the structure of lipid membrane, forms transmembrane potential, breaks the acid-base balance, destroys the integrity of the cell wall of bacteria, and causes physical damage to bacteria, which plays a bactericidal role.
