用途
1.紫外線吸收劑。主要用于防曬類和曬黑類化妝品，對(duì)光和空氣的化學(xué)性穩(wěn)定，對(duì)皮膚安全，還具有在皮膚上成膜的能力。能有效地吸收U．V．B區(qū)域280-320μm 中波光線區(qū)域)的紫外線。添加量通常為4%左右。

2.本品為局部麻醉，用于創(chuàng)傷面、潰瘍面及痔瘡等止癢止痛，使用濃度5%~20%。也用作藥物合成和有機(jī)合成中間體。

苯唑卡因是一種脂溶性表面麻醉劑，與其它幾種局麻藥如利多卡因、地卡因等相比，其作用強(qiáng)度較小，因而在作用于粘膜時(shí)不會(huì)因麻醉作用而使人感到不適。它是一種脂溶性較強(qiáng)的藥物，故而易與粘膜或皮膚的脂層結(jié)合，但不易透過(guò)而進(jìn)人體內(nèi)產(chǎn)生毒性。

苯唑卡因可作為奧索仿、奧索卡因、普魯卡因等前體原料；同時(shí)，它在醫(yī)藥上又用作局部麻醉劑，有止痛、止癢作用，主要用于創(chuàng)面、潰瘍面、粘膜表面和痔瘡麻醉止痛和癢癥，其軟膏還可用作鼻咽導(dǎo)管、內(nèi)突窺鏡等潤(rùn)滑止痛。暫時(shí)緩解疼痛和瘙癢皮膚的不適，輕度燒傷、曬傷、創(chuàng)傷和昆蟲(chóng)叮咬。耳用制劑被用來(lái)減輕急性充血性、濃性外耳炎、游泳耳炎的疼痛和瘙癢以及耳外用。對(duì)牙痛、咽喉痛、口腔潰瘍、各種痔瘡、肛裂、外陰瘙癢也是有效的，作為男性生殖器脫敏劑使射精緩慢。或用作導(dǎo)管和內(nèi)鏡管的麻醉潤(rùn)滑劑。
